System Administrator

You'll administer the servers, networks and tooling that keep our platform and team productive. This is a part-time role of around 5 hours per week, with flexibility around the agreed pattern. — monitoring, patching and supporting users, with security front of mind throughout.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer Linux servers, networks and core services
  • Monitor systems, apply patches and manage backups
  • Manage user accounts, access and endpoint security
  • Support colleagues and triage technical issues
  • Maintain documentation and configuration
  • Support compliance with ISO 27001 controls

Essential experience & skills

  • Experience as a System Administrator
  • Strong Linux and networking skills
  • Monitoring, patching and backup practices
  • A methodical, security-conscious approach
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Willingness and ability to obtain clearance (BPSS, SC or higher)

Desirable experience

  • Scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / OVH)
  • Experience in regulated environments
  • Existing security clearance
